Grifters and Corporate Lobbyists in MSM Angry Over Real Journalism: The Response to Matt Taibbi and the "Twitter Files"

The responses to Matt Taibbi’s Twitter Files thread have been a maelstrom of mixed emotions and precisely interjected propaganda, with everyone kind of just screaming at one another rather than coming together in agreement to say “wow, this is crazy.” Because it is crazy. It’s absolutely insane to be honest. You had top executives at Twitter operating behind the back of then-CEO Jack Dorsey to censor and even completely remove content at the will of an outside party, both individual as well as political. When the story about Hunter Biden’s laptop leaked, Twitter censored it to protect Biden’s image and help ensure a presidential victory. This went as far as preventing people from even sharing the story with one another in a DM.
The fact that anybody can turn their nose up at Taibbi for his reporting on this is beyond me. Worse even, some are dismissing the story as nothing to see. Can you imagine how people would be reacting right now if it were Trump rather than Biden mentioned in the documents?
“Handled these.” writes a twitter employee to a Biden campaign team member. This is what’s being labeled a “snoozefest” by Rolling Stone and a “very modern media maelstrom” by the New York Times. The Times specifically referred to Taibbi as “an iconoclast journalist who shares some of Mr. Musk’s disdain for the mainstream news media.” Unbelievable.
As for the above email exchange, what do we see from team Biden? Five tweets removed at the request of a favorable political candidate, an absolutely egregious disregard for the First Amendment and the core principles of free speech. I don’t need to explain this to you. This is anti-democratic action from the very people who are constantly lecturing you on the importance of democracy and a free society.
It’s important to note this abuse of power was being carried out by republicans as well, Twitter just had an overwhelming democratic bent among its staff. Both parties would and did use this tool when given the opportunity, but because it was deployed mainly by the democrats we’re supposed to be skeptical about Taibbi’s reporting. Many in the liberal sphere have called Taibbi a reactionary or lamented his supposed “shift to the right,” which is quite honestly some of the funniest shit I’ve read in a while. These people are so unbelievably stupid.
And in unison the media dogs bark. Does your average person ever grow tired of the fact that their daily intake of current events is having a bunch of different people repeat the same lie to them on behalf of the capitalist class? Just look at the amount of times some blue-check liberal on Twitter posted about Taibbi “working PR for the world’s richest man.” One theatrical tweeter referred to Elon Musk as “the world’s richest white nationalist.” Are the liberals all right?
